Jacket Racket – Starts Monday

Over the next two weeks, Elboya School is once again participating in Jacket Racket, and we invite our students and parents to participate!  Jacket Racket is a volunteer organization that has been providing clean, gently used winter jackets to Calgary children since the 1980’s. Coats, snow pants, hats and mittens in baby to teen sizes are collected, sorted and distributed by a group of dedicated volunteers. The distribution is done through the Calgary Board of Education and the Calgary Catholic School District. http://jacketracketcalgary.com/

A donation box will be set up inside the main doors of the school for collection from October 23rd - November 3rd. Thank you for your support!!  If you have any questions, please email Sheri MacFarlane sarondes@yahoo.com. Let’s make a difference, together!

The Camp Kindle Staff were enchanted by our Senior Band at band camp last week. Thank you to all families, the ESBPA, AND to our supervisors, Mr. Cooper, Mme. Laurie, and Miss Lisa, for all the support. Practices this week are as follows: Wednesday morning- Jazz Orchestra; Thursday morning- Brass and Percussion from Senior Band (Gr. 8&9). Reed Note: All current Gr. 6-9 band students should have their own reeds by this time if they play reed instruments.
