Additional Information

School Telephone for Students in Middle School (Grades 6-9)

A telephone, located directly across from the main office, is available for students’ use without charge. Students are asked to be brief with calls as a courtesy to others waiting to use the phone.

Personal Messages

Students will not be called out of class for personal messages unless it is deemed an emergency or crisis. Messages will be communicated to students at class time change, or at lunchtime by paging the student to the office. We will do our best to help you to pass information to your child, but we will also try not to interrupt classes unless it is absolutely necessary. Please refrain from texting your child as cell phones will be away for the day as per our school policy.

School Communication

We send out school information, updates and reminders weekly via email. We also post information electronically on our website. We use these communication methods to update the school calendar and pass on information from the Calgary Board of Education and community. Elboya also has an Instagram (@elboyafalconscbe) account. These social media sites are another way to stay in touch regarding school happenings.

Soft Entry

To maximize learning time at the middle school level (Grades 7-9), students are permitted to enter the building starting at 9:00 to get ready for the start of the day. Students in Grade 5-6 enter the school at 9:05. All students should be in their seats and ready to learn when the instructional bell rings at 9:10 AM.
