We hope the long weekend and Thanksgiving celebrations came with some relaxation and rejuvenation.  Another week of authentic and rigorous learning will take place this week at Elboya.  As I walk into classrooms I see students engaged in projects, hands-on learning, and in depth class discussions. To keep a pulse on what your child is learning at the middle school level (Gr. 6-9) ensure you review Google Classroom frequently with your student.

Parents  in all grades are encouraged to reach out to the their child’s teacher anytime via email for clarification of what their child is doing in class. 

 

Athletics

The calendar of sporting events was sent out last week.  Good luck to all our soccer and basketball teams.  Go Falcons!

 

Thursday, October 12 – Crazy Sock Day!

Students will be celebrating crazy sock day! Make sure to wear your wackiest socks to help your class move closer to winning the end-of-year house cup!

 

Band News

Thank you students and parents for a successful afternoon of band clinics last Friday! We have 4 more maps' worth of bottle drive flyers, so please send your child to the band room at lunch to pick one up if you can deliver tonight or tomorrow! Important dates:

Saturday, Oct. 14, 10am-12pm ESBPA Band Bottle Drive

Bring your recyclable bottles and cans from the past few weeks to donate the deposit and help support our band program this Saturday! We'll also need parents and students to drive and pick up bottles throughout the school neighbourhood.
