Happy New Year! Bonne heureuse année à tous! I trust families had some quality down time and togetherness over the break.  As we ease back into routine know that this month is an important one for students.  Teachers will be gathering assessments and working on Report Cards which will be available for viewing at the end of the month. Winter is making a return this week so please encourage your children to dress appropriately for cold weather conditions. Volleyball season starts today!  We wish our athletes best of luck as they represent Elboya School.

Band News

·       It’s our Band Bottle Drive Week, with collection in the Elboya School  

staff parking lot from 10am-12pm on Saturday, January 13. Please consider helping us with one or all of the following: 

·       Elboya School Community: Sign up for bottle drive flyer delivery early this week OR for bottle pick-up on Saturday morning: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B4CA4A82EA4FEC07-47103183-elboya 

 

·       Copy and send bottle drive info to friends, family and neighbours! Then pick up yours and their donations to drop off either at the school on Saturday morning OR the Manchester Bottle Depot (410 38A Avenue SE) this week (or any week!) and mention that they're for the Elboya School Band. 

 

·       If bottle drive volunteering is not in your capabilities this week, but you still want to help out, we accept cheques/cash donations during the drive this Saturday morning or at the school office, as well as e-transfers to the ESBPA (Elboya School Band Parent Association) email address (elboyaschool@gmail.com).  

 

·       We really appreciate your participation in our fundraisers and that you spread the word! We want to continue having fun in band this year, and your help goes a long way to support us. Thank you! -Mrs. Bates 

 

·       Jazz Band and Senior Concert Band – Early morning rehearsals are CANCELLED this week so that students have time to support our bottle drive, instead. Morning band rehearsals will resume next week, on Jan. 17 (Jazz) and 18 (Sr Concert Band).
