Welcome Back BBQ – Thank You Volunteers Thank you to all the volunteers who came out and helped with the Welcome Back BBQ on Thursday night! Events like this could not happen without the involvement of our parent community and for your help we are very grateful! Also - thanks also to everyone who came out to attend the Meet the Teacher/Welcome Back BBQ Event. It was heartening to see so many families (new and returning) come out and enjoy the evening and each other’s company!
JR. High Pizza Lunch – Next Wednesday – Oct 2 The first junior high pizza lunch of the year for grades 7 through 9 will be NEXT WEDNESDAY! Pizza will be sold in the cafeteria for only $2/slice. Sales are cash only – so bring those toonies. Pepperoni, cheese and Hawaiian varieties will be sold.
JR. High Pizza Lunch Parent Volunteers Needed We are still looking for parents to be part of the volunteer pool for the junior high pizza lunches. Volunteers work together in pairs to collect money and distribute pizza slices from full pizzas ordered in from Dominos. It is a quick hit volunteer job (~ 40 minutes over lunch hour) and offers you a tiny glimpse into child’s junior high life! If you are available for the upcoming (or future lunches) please consider putting your name on an email list. Our organizer reaches out to volunteers prior to each lunch to build the lunch crew for the upcoming lunch. If you would like to be on the volunteer call list, please contact Magda at Magda@syrenamedical.com. Important Note: Only persons with a completed police check can volunteer in the school. If you are unsure of the status of your police security check, please reach out to Sarah Kryczka sokryczka@cbe.ab.ca to verify your status.
