School Council Meeting The first Elboya School Council / Fundraising Society meeting of the year will take place Thursday September 19 at 6:30 in the Learning Commons (school library). This is your opportunity to get involved in the School Council and have your ideas and opinions heard! Everyone is welcome to attend. Click for the Agenda here. Elementary Fun Lunches – Order Information Gr. 1-6 Fun lunches are back for grades 1-6. School Council is excited to run bi-monthly fun lunches once again for the elementary students. The first lunch will take place September 25. Order Fun Lunches via the Healthy Hunger web site (www.healthyhunger.ca). Fun Lunches will be brought in every second Wednesdays through the school year. You may order fun lunches just prior to the week it is brought in, or order for several lunches in advance. You can do either! Remember that orders must be paid for at least 5 business days prior to the lunch date (the Friday before). How do Fun Lunches work? Returning Families: Log into your Healthy Hunger account, select the school and re-add your students with this year’s classroom teacher. New Families: Create an account, select Elboya School and add your students homeroom teacher. Everyone: This program is run by parent volunteers (we love grandparents too!). Elementary Fun Lunch - Volunteers Needed Elboya Fun Lunches will begin on September 25. We are currently looking for parent volunteers to assist with the distribution of the lunches. Welcome Back BBQ – September 26 The Welcome Back BBQ will take place the same night as the Meet the Teacher Evening on Thursday September 26. Food will be served starting at 5 pm. The school will be sending out more details about Meet the Teacher next week. Come to the school, grab a quick dinner, pick up your apple order and have fun catching up with other Elboya Families! We will need a large group of parent volunteers – the Signup will be released next week. Volunteer clearance is not required to work at this event. Keep Informed!
