June is a bittersweet time of year when we say goodbye to staff and also welcome new staff to our school. To date, there have been over 300 teaching positions posted internally. I’d like to share staffing changes that are known to this date. Over the coming weeks, I expect there could be more movement so will continue to update parents.
Congratulations to the following teachers who will be moving to other schools:
- Staff that will be transitioning to Windsor Park School: Ms. Seddon, Mr. Grant, Mrs. Sprau, Ms. Moos. The presence of these familiar faces will be both meaningful and reassuring for our students.
- Ms. Quast will be moving to Silver Springs School.
- Ms. Hardacre will be moving to Griffith Woods School.
- Ms. Helfrich will be moving to Ethel M. Johnson School.
Congratulations to Ms. Humby who will remain at Elboya.
Farewell to Mrs. Sawchuk who will be retiring after a fulfilling career. We wish her the very best in her retirement and thank her for her many contributions to Elboya over the years.
Elboya Bands Concert - Gr. 6-9
The Band portion of CTF Night will go from 4:10pm to 6:45pm. You can watch only your child's group if that is your preference but are welcome to watch other groups perform. We have supervision for grades 6 and 7 students; after that, if your child is not performing, they should be with you. Performances may finish early, so please be ready to seat yourselves 10 minutes before your child's group performs. In the gym, please wait until between songs to find your seat or to depart so that we can avoid distracting the performers. Looking forward to celebrating our students!
