Last week with students, we recognized National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, by engaging students in age-appropriate learning and conversations about respect, empathy, and the importance of reconciliation. As a staff, today, we broke bread together as it is a common cultural practice across the world. Staff shared in Bannock tasting which is a great way to connect and get to know one another. As a school, we will Together, continue to learn and grow toward a more inclusive and caring environment.
Picture Day

Cross-Country News
On Thursday, October 2 cross country will have a pizza wrap up party at lunch to celebrate a great season!
Transportation Registration Confirmation & Cancellations
Families registered for yellow school bus transportation received confirmation emails on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025. Registered families that have decided not to use bus service can cancel their registration in MyCBE with no financial impact by Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025. If they do not cancel by this deadline, fees will continue to be charged until a cancellation is received, regardless of actual usage. Retro-active fee refunds will not be provided.
Transportation fees will be loaded into MyCBE later in October.
2025-26 School Year Fees are:
- Mandated Riders $360
- Non-Mandated Riders $360
- Kindergarten (1-way) $180
No action is required for registered families that will use bus service for the school year.

Athletics News
Next week in athletics we have our girls soccer team playing an away game against Riverside. Our junior boys basketball team kick off our basketball season with a game against Sherwood in their gym. On Thursday, the Senior Girls play two games at Rideau Park starting at 6:00pm and the junior girls play Sherwood at Nickle starting at 5:00pm. Please remember that any students visiting another school must be in direct supervision of a parent/guardian at all times. Good luck to all our teams this week!
CBE Caregiver Series
The Calgary Board of Education invites all parents and guardians to join a live online series on supporting child and youth well-being. The series is hosted by the Recovery Alberta Community Education Service (CES) Program in collaboration with local experts from the Calgary community. Child Youth Well Being Family Caregiver Series
