We are off to a wonderful start to the school year! Students have settled into their routines, are reconnecting with friends and teachers and are embracing the many opportunities that a new school year brings. Our staff have been working hard to create welcoming, supportive learning environments, and it has been wonderful to see the positive energy throughout the school. We look forward to building on this strong start together as the year unfolds!

School Council Meeting – This Week

The first School Council meeting of the year will take place on Thursday, September 17 at 6:30 in the Learning Commons.  This is a great way for parents to get involved and learn about school happenings.  There are a few volunteer positions available that would benefit the school.  Elboya benefits greatly from the financial and volunteer efforts of the Council.  Later this fall a casino is scheduled.  We are grateful for our engaged and supportive families.

Community Education Service (CES)

The Calgary Board of Education invites all parents and guardians to join a live online series on supporting child and youth well-being. The series is hosted by the Recovery Alberta Community Education Service (CES) Program in collaboration with local experts from the Calgary community.

Attached is a poster with sessions designed to provide families with knowledge, tools, and strategies to help navigate the challenges and opportunities of raising children and teens today. Along with the poster, additional session details are available on our corporate website: Child and Youth Well-Being Family and Caregiver Series.
