Thank you for your continued support of your children and their learning. We are grateful to have upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences scheduled, as they provide us with valuable time to discuss your child’s progress more specifically.  If you have any wonderings about how your student is doing, it is highly recommended to participate in the conferences.

In the meantime, you can continue to support your child by reviewing Google Classroom with them and keeping open conversations about their well-being and school experience. Middle school students sometimes find it hard to open up, so simple check-ins like “What was something that made you laugh today?”, “Who did you enjoy spending time with?”, or “What is one thing you’re proud of this week?” can encourage meaningful dialogue. Even brief conversations on the drive home or during dinner can make a big difference in helping students feel seen and supported.

We truly appreciate your partnership and look forward to connecting with you soon.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Keep an eye for a separate email that will be sent so parents can sign up for the upcoming P-T Conferences on Nov. 27 (in-person) & Nov. 28 (online).

Allergies & Medication

In an effort to maximize student safety we will be housing all medications such as epi-pens and inhalers in the office this year.

Realistically, if an allergic reaction were to happen, it would be in the hallway, outside (over the lunch hour) under the watchful eye of lunch supervisors or in the class that is supervised by your child's classroom teacher.  That said, having the medications stored in one place that is always open establishes consistency amongst the school.  Please send your child’s medication to the office along with the completed Student Health Plan

The Student Health Emergency Response Protocol should be completed by parents when students require an intervention or emergent response to a situation such as anaphylactic shock.  Please help us keep your child safe by returning this paperwork to the school as soon as possible.

Book Fair

It takes many hands to put this event together for our school community. If you’re able to volunteer, please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D4BA4A82DA2F4C16-60421348-elboya

Jacket Racket - Collections Until November 18

We are currently accepting donations of warm weather wear as part of the Jacket Racket initiative. We invite you to drop off your gently used jackets, snowpants, mittens, gloves and hats at the school. These will be redistributed to children around the city in need of outerwear for the coming winter season. There is a donation box set up outside of the office.

Wishing everyone a great week!
