We have almost arrived at the end of an exciting and successful year for student learning and our school community.  So many positive things have happened throughout the year which have continued to make Elboya School a great place to learn.  Our last week is extra special with many activities going on such as Gr. 4-9 Sports Day, Gr. 9 Farewell and a Canadian Citizenship Ceremony.  Today students received their yearbooks and are super excited about having their friends and teachers sign it.   We would like to thank the students, staff, parents and extend a special “shout out” to all of the volunteers who have supported student learning in so many different ways over the year.

Who would have predicted in September that Elboya would transition to a Gr. 4-9 school?  With this change in designation we say a temporary farewell to our wonderful students in Kindergarten to Gr. 3 as they begin their academic year at Windsor Park School in the fall. They have left a legacy by painting a few of the large boulders by the Kindergarten doors.  Check out their lasting art.  We look forward to seeing how our students grow and develop over time. We also say goodbye to many staff that will be starting new adventures at other schools.  We are deeply appreciative of their contributions to our learning community.

It takes everyone working and learning together to make Elboya School a successful and positive learning community. We are grateful for our families’ support.

Early Dismissal – Last day this week is on Thursday, June 26.  Students will be dismissed at 1 pm.

Truth & Reconciliation Commitment

In recognition of Indigenous History Month and National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21st, we look back on our current TRC Commitment to Action and walk forward with a renewed commitment for the 2025-26 school year. This year we’ve committed to weaving Indigenous ways of knowing and being into tasks celebrating and recognizing rich Indigenous culture and their contributions to us.  Each year we post our school’s commitment to take action.
