Welcome to February!  Each year, Black History Month honours the experiences, achievements and enduring contributions of Black communities in Canada, while deepening our collective understanding of their history and impact on Canadian society.  This month our students will be learning more about and celebrate the diversity and accomplishments of Black Canadians across the country.

Our first Band Bottle Drive is coming up on Sat. Feb. 21, from 10am-12pm. To volunteer, please sign up with your child for flyer delivery mid-February or on the day of the drive. Thank you!

Extended Absence

If your family is planning to have your student absent from school for more than 3 days in a row, please request an extended absence form from the office. This is helpful for teachers as they are planning their instruction.

Belcanfran Exchange Program

Belcanfran is a NON-FOR-PROFIT reciprocal family exchange between Alberta and France/Belgium that promotes the French language development through a linguistic and cultural immersion within family and school setting. For more information, please consult our website: www.belcanfran.com.  Additionally, a parent meeting will be offered at Elboya on February 19 at 6 pm in the Learning Commons to learn more.
