Greetings Elboya Families
We wanted to highlight a couple of things before school begins.
Elboya’s Personal Electronic Device Policy
Students will not be permitted to enter the school on their devices nor use their devices during break times such as nutrition and lunch. Should students in Grade 7-9 wish to use their devices over lunch, they will have to go off school property.
These rules will apply to all students, with exceptions for students using devices for health and medical needs, to support specialized learning needs and for educational purposes. Please contact Ms Cooper (lscooper@cbe.ab.ca) if this case applies to your student.
Elboya’s PED Policy
AWAY FOR THE DAY unless: |
Teacher requests it for class. |
If a student is found to be in violation of the PEDs/Cell phone policy: |
First Offence: The student takes PED/Cell to the office. The student will pick up the device at the end of the day. |
Further Offence: Device is brought to the office and will only be surrendered to a legal guardian. |
NB: This policy is reviewed for students requiring PED for medical conditions, IPP or EAL learners.
