As we head into March, we are looking forward to an exciting and engaging month ahead. Highlights will include our upcoming Drama Performance, Holes, and Parent-Teacher Conferences. More information about both events will be shared shortly.

We are also pleased to host a Wellness Afternoon for students on March 19, featuring activities that support social-emotional, physical, and mental well-being. As part of the afternoon, we will hold a school dance for all students in Grades 4–9. We look forward to providing meaningful opportunities for connection, celebration, and community building.

Elboya Jazz Band

Our Elboya Jazz Band students will perform at Henry Wise Wood High School on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 6:00–8:30 PM during their "Evening of Music and Mingling" event. The evening will feature performances from our jazz band, Henry Wise Wood High School ensembles, the Woodman School Jazz Band, and the Westwinds Gold Jazz South band.

We also have the opportunity to fundraise through a Silent Auction during the evening. If you wish to donate items, please reach out to lubates@cbe.ab.ca to coordinate a drop-off or pick-up, or deliver your donation by Monday, March 9 to the main office of Henry Wise Wood High School, addressed to Music Director Kristin Newman and labeled "Elboya School Bands." Your generosity helps subsidize field trips such as band camp and band festival, and supports new sheet music and essential band supplies. All donors will be recognized during the event. Thank you in advance for your generous support of the arts!

Drama Production – Holes

Students have been working hard on the production of Holes and are keen to show off their talents. There will be two shows on March 17 and 18 starting at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $5 and will be available for purchase soon. We hope to see many families come out to support our performing arts program.

French Week – Next Week

We are excited to celebrate Francophonie Week at our school from March 9–12! Throughout the week, students will take part in a variety of fun and engaging activities highlighting French language and culture, including the Folklofolie Show, the Sugar Cube Castle competition, Manie Musicale, French movie viewings, and more. It will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate la Francophonie, explore music and traditions from around the French-speaking world, and participate in some friendly competition.

Grade 9 Farewell Texas Donut Fundraiser – April 14
