Meet the Teacher & Welcome Back BBQ
As we move into our second month of school, classrooms have settled into the rhythm of learning and growth. Established routines and expectations are helping to create a predictable, supportive environment where students can focus, build confidence, and thrive. This is also the time of year when learning activities become more rigorous and students are encouraged to take increasing ownership of their learning. We encourage families to stay connected by checking Googleclassroom regularly and taking time to ask your child about their learning, friendships and school experiences. Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to support a successful year for every student.

Healthy Hunger & Gr. 7-9 Pizza Lunches
Families are able to order Fun Lunches now. Go to www.Healthyhunger.ca to sign up and order.
Some parents have already ordered, despite not having the grades listed yet. If you ordered prior to last week, please edit your order and add the correct grade and homeroom teacher’s name. This will assist our parent volunteers tremendously!

We are continuing our second week of Basketball, Soccer and have our combatives (wrestling) unit.
- Group 1 - Soccer II - be prepared for outdoors and cold/wet weather.
- Group 2 - Basketball II - have your athletic shoes.
- Group 3 - Combatives - please remove jewelry and have clean, appropriate attire.

Cross Country News
Congratulations to our cross country team for the 2026 season! Our junior girls, intermediate girls and senior girls all won their division for south Calgary! As well, the girls team won the aggregate for the season!
This is for all schools in the south of Calgary (approximately 30) and is a great accomplishment. Go Falcons!
The wrap-up luncheon for all cross-country team members will be on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 12:30.
Let's Talk: A Parent - School Conversation Night
Thursday, Oct. 22, 6:30 to 8 pm in Learning Commons
Join the Elboya School Council for a discussion night at the school with School Leadership: Aliki Avdicos & Danny Cooper. Ask your questions, share your views, learn about the school and meet other parents. This evening will be facilitated by School Council and is open to ALL parents of students at Elboya. You can submit questions ahead of time at elboyaschool.chair@gmail.com or just come.
