Casino Fundraiser Volunteers Needed – Nov. 3 & 4 – URGENT – NEXT WEEK
We're almost there, but we still currently have 7 unfilled slots, 4 of which are "on call" slots. Casino volunteers do NOT need volunteer/police clearance and family/friends such as grandparents, aunts, or uncles can fill these roles.
The casino fundraiser for Elboya School is Tuesday November 3 and Wednesday November 4 at Cowboys Casino. This is the MAIN fundraising event for the Elboya School Fundraising Society and only happens every other year.
The last casino brought in~$80,000 that has gone towards technology, residencies, and more to support our kids and our school! To make the casino happen, we need to fill 36 volunteer positions over those 2 days and nights. Each volunteer shift represents over $2000 in fundraising revenue for the school. No knowledge of gambling is needed to volunteer; all training will be provided at the casino event. A meal, snacks, and refreshments are also included for volunteers. Sign up for a volunteer shift and meet some other members of the Elboya School community! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D4FA8AE23A6FFC61-65703161-elboya#/
Elboya School Council and Fundraising Society AGM – November 18 – 6:30 – 8:00 PM
The annual general meeting for the Elboya School Council and Fundraising society will take place Wednesday November 18 in the Learning Commons. (Please note the change from the usual Thursday night to Wednesday for this meeting.)
All parents / guardians of Elboya students are welcome to attend. We’d love to have more parents attend to provide feedback on council activities and input into the spending priorities of the Fundraising Society.
November Fun Lunches
- November 4 – Junior High Pizza Lunch
- November 18 – Subway (all grades)
- November 25 – Mucho Burrito (all grades)
Junior high pizza lunches are cash sales on the lunch date. There is no pre-order.
For other lunches, go to www.Healthyhunger.ca to sign up and order. Orders must be in by end of day on the Friday prior to the lunch date.
Fun Lunch Volunteers
We are looking for parents to come in over the lunch hour to help distribute lunches to the kids. For full school fun lunches we especially need extra parents to deliver to the 5 & 6 classes.
If you have your volunteer clearance and can carve out some time over lunch to come to the school, please consider signing up! It’s a lot of fun to see the kids and meet some other parents, too!
