ELBOYA CASINO - Call for volunteers!

Hello Parents/Guardians,

Elboya School has been lucky to secure Casino spots on January 19-20 at Cowboys Casino!

This is the largest fundraiser for our school and it happens once every two years. Funds provided from the casino purchase essential enrichment items for students like technology (smart boards, laptops), STEM resources, art supplies, musical instruments, physical education equipment, literacy and numeracy materials and so much more!  Without these funds, the educational enrichment our children all benefit from would simply not be available.

To make this a successful event we will need 35-45 volunteers.

General Information:

- No experience or volunteer clearance needed!  Duty details for your role will be provided once you are at the Casino and an experienced supervisor is on hand

- Free food is available during your shift

- Day and evening shifts available

- Family and friends can sign up as well to support our students

Jr High - Lunch Volunteers Needed!

The Junior High Fun lunch committee is still very much in need of volunteers to come and lend a hand on lunch days – especially NEXT THURSDAY! If you have volunteer clearance and have some time over the lunch hour, we’d be thrilled if you could help! Sign up via the following link:

Band Fundraiser – 50/50 Raffle

The Elboya Band Parent Council is running a 50/50 fundraiser until December 19. The pot is already at $3255 (winner takes half). The other half goes to supporting our amazing grade 6 and junior high band program! Please join in by buying tickets via this link.

Support your School - Volunteers Needed

There are some important roles on the School Council that are currently sitting vacant.

Fundraising Society President – A president is needed for the Elboya School Fundraising Society (ESFS). The ESFS runs all fundraising events (e.g.: apple sales, casino, cheque writing campaigns) and oversees the distribution of funds to the school and for school council activities. The President is critical in driving these activities, planning future fundraisers and helping “manage the money” for the council.

School Council Vice-Chair – Work with the School Council Chair on school council sponsored activities. Provide support during meetings, for the various sponsored activities and in helping decide what events the Council will support.

Family Dance Coordinators – We would love to offer up another family dance for the elementary school community next year but need organizers for the event. The role is currently vacant. Please reach out if you would like to help lead a committee to make this event happen! If you are worried about doing this alone, why not grab a friend and organize the event as co-coordinators?
