I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, surrounded by family and friends, filled with gratitude and great food.  I am grateful to be working with our amazing students, dedicated staff and supportive parents!  This month we will be refining our School Development Plan by analyzing data and identifying areas for growth in the areas of literacy, numeracy & well-being. Our targeted interventions and professional learning will then be designed to support student progress, with a focus on fostering a sense of belonging, which is crucial for overall well-being and academic success.  We look forward to sharing our plan with you at the November School Council Meeting.

School Council – Thurs. at 6:30 in Learning Commons

Recently families were informed of Elboya’s redesignation plan in response to our increased building utilization rates requiring students to overflow to other schools.  The majority of this meeting is dedicated to reviewing the material sent by CBE.

Band Camp

What a great opportunity for our band students to develop their skills together while team building. A big thank you to Mrs. Bates for organizing this special event for our students. Thank you also to Mr. Cooper, Mme Meredith and parent volunteers for their support during band camp.

Remembrance Day

We would like to honour Elboya family members who have served in the Canadian Military during our Remembrance Day Assembly. Please send photos of family members, a small write up including the soldiers name, service dates, Elboya student name and relation to Ms. Quast at  tlquast@cbe.ab.ca 

Elboya’s School Store

Thank you to all that purchased clothing through our School Store. Orders will arrive in early and November and will be delivered to students

Soccer News

It’s an exciting week ahead as we enter soccer playoffs. The Girls soccer final game will be held on Thursday, Oct 17 and the Boys final game will be held on Oct 21. Bonnes chances!

Jacket Racket

Let’s help those in need by bringing in gently used winter clothing.  A bin will be set up outside the main office until Nov. 22.
