Truth & Reconciliation Week
This week is Elboya's Truth and Reconciliation Week. Teachers will be encouraging students to appreciate the rich history and knowledge that Indigenous communities have preserved and continue to share. Our goal is to ensure all students develop an understanding and appreciation for Indigenous stories, traditions, and medicines. To kick off the week, orange candy was sold at lunch today. It will also be sold at lunch on Thursday. Tomorrow for grade 1-5 students we will be doing orange tie-dye at lunch to ensure everyone has an orange shirt to wear on Thursday. Wednesday grade 6-9 students will do the same. On Thursday it is orange shirt day. All students are encouraged to participate. Please consult your child's Google Classroom for more information.
