June is always a busy month filled with final assessments, year-end activities, and special events. Student fatigue and disengagement is real at this time of the year. You can support your students by encouraging them to stay focused, attend regularly, get lots of sleep, continue with good nutrition. This will help them finish the year strongly.

Thank you for your ongoing support—we look forward to a positive and memorable end to the school year!

Band Concerts

Thank you, parents, for attending the concerts last week. This provides our students with an authentic opportunity to showcase their skills.  We are grateful for your support and excited to see our band program growing.

PE

Grades 6-9 need to complete their Human Sexuality unit and will meet in their health rooms for Monday and Tuesday.

Track and Field

Congratulations to all our track and field athletes! Elboya had amazing performances and all our athletes were awesome. Once I get the results, I will share those with the team and the school.

Thanks for an awesome day at track!

Fee Payments

Printed School Fee's Owed statements (dated May 27) will be sent home this week with your child(ren). Please log in into your MyCBE account to pay outstanding fees. Payment is also accepted at the office if you are unable to pay online on your MyCBE account, 8:30-1:30 & 2:15-4 (Mon-Thurs) and 8:30-1 (Friday). If you would like to come in outside these hours, please contact Mrs. McComish for availability outside these hours (tamccomish@cbe.ab.ca) . If you have paid the fees that show outstanding, thank you!

Student Tardiness

There has been an increase in Gr. 7-9 students coming in late after lunch as they are trying to get lunch/coffee drinks from 4th Street merchants or establishments on the south side of Heritage Drive.  Please remind your student to stay closer to the school as lunch is only 40 minutes long.  Students arriving late are not permitted to take their food/drinks into class due to the distraction.  Rather, these items will be kept in the office until the end of the day for student pick-up.  Thank you for your support!

Community Volunteer Needed

The Windsor Park Community Association is looking for volunteers to help with face painting at their Neighbour Day Festival on Saturday, June 20.  All face paints and supplies will be provided. This could be a great opportunity for students who enjoy art, working with younger children, and being involved in the community.

If your child or family is interested in volunteering, please contact Mme Christina: chcameron@cbe.ab.ca. Thank you for supporting our community events!

Wishing everyone a dry week out of the rain!
