What a wonderful first day of school! Our staff were thrilled to welcome students back and begin this exciting new chapter together as our first year as a Grades 5-9 middle school. The energy, enthusiasm, and smiles throughout the building made for a fantastic start!
We’re looking forward to a year filled with opportunities for students to connect, grow, discover new interests, and build community. Our athletic season is already getting underway, with opportunities in soccer, cross-country, and basketball on the horizon. We can’t wait to see our students get involved, challenge themselves, support one another, and proudly represent our school. Here’s to an exciting year of learning, belonging, and creating new memories together!
Staffing Updates
This fall, the CBE has hired hundreds of teachers, education assistants and other school staff to support student learning. These positions have been funded by the Government of Alberta with the intention of addressing classroom complexity and class sizes.
We are pleased to welcome 4 additional new staff to our school for the 2026-27 school year:
- Mr. Boukrich, Mr. Pujolar-Brodland, M Good, Ms. Akram
We are very pleased to welcome these new staff members to our school community! This additional staff will help ensure students benefit from:

Volunteer Opportunities
We truly value our parent partnership and encourage parents to volunteer for field trips, guest speaking, fundraising, etc. Volunteers are required to have a valid clearance, which is good for 5 years. More information here: https://www.cbe.ab.ca/volunteer.
